Leeward Community College Theatre recently staged Poli’ahu-Goddess of Maunakea. The theatrical production, directed by Peter Rockford Espiritu, depicted stories of Hawaii’s legendary snow goddess Poli’ahu while integrating traditional Hawaiian song and dance with indigenous cultural elements from Siberia, Mongolia and Alaska.
