The Hawaii Chinese Civic Association sponsored its annual Mandarin Ball last month at Hawaii Prince Hotel. The event, which featured a Mandarin jacket contest, honored Dr. Carl Lum with the Mandarin Award for his years of dedicated leadership and participation in providing medical assistance to the Aloha Medical Mission Program in underserved countries in Southeast Asia and Africa.
