The 2006 Moon Festival and Chinese National Day celebration included a banquet dinner in the Ala Moana Hotel’s Hibiscus Ballroom with more than 400 people in attendance.

The event celebrated China’s National Day and the Moon Festival, which could be described as China’s equivalent to the United States’ Fourth of July. The evening included an elegant buffet dinner, opera, poetry readings, karaoke, dancing and a raffle.

The dinner banquet was organized by the Hawaii Mainland Chinese Overseas Association, Hawaii Chinese Tea Club and Chinese Students and Scholars Association at University of Hawaii.
