Guests at the “Na Mea Makamae O Waikiki - The Treasures of Waikiki” enjoyed an elegant dinner, entertainment by Hoku Zuttermeister and Ione Burns, as well as silent and live travel auctions.

A benefit for the Waikiki Community Center, the highlight of the event was a presentation of the Kahiau Awards to the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center/Kamehameha Schools, Michael A. Tongg (former president of the OHCRA and Hokule’a Crew), and in memory of Don Ho. The event chairman was Noel Trainor, general manager of the Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort and Spa.
