The 34th annual Prince Lot Hula Festival took place at Moanalua Gardens last month. The event is named after Prince Lot Kapuaiwa who kept the hula tradition alive at a time when it was banned. In addition to dances by a number of hula halau, entertainment included a lua demonstration, poi pounding and other cultural activities, traditional Hawaiian crafters and vendors featuring local foods.
