Friends, family and special guests gathered for the grand opening of Restaurant Epic, where they enjoyed a traditional lion dance, cocktails and a sampling of Chef Anthony Vierra’s menu.

The restaurant, which specializes in new American cuisine with a California flair, is located downtown on Nuuanu Avenue, and it opens to the public Feb. 19. Restaurant Epic seeks to satisfy as a destination where art, culture and cuisine meet in perfect harmony. Restaurant Epic is a partnership between CCRI (Chan’s Chinese Restaurant Incorporated), owners of Little Village and Chan’s Chinese Buffet, Chef Anthony Vierra of GRGH (Genesis Restaurant Group Hawaii), executive chef of Grand Café and Bakery, Alan S. Chang and Foresight Construction.
