Stars of Oceania
Del.icio.usThe “Stars of Oceania” inaugural recognition dinner and scholarship fundraiser honored 10 individuals with Pacific Islands ties for their contributions to the state of Hawaii. Funds raised from the event went toward scholarships for University of Hawaii students from the Pacific Islands or students who are doing work that benefits the Pacific Islands.
The honorees include Honolulu Mayor Mufi Hannemann, Nainoa Thompson, Kalo Mataele Soukop, Tihati “Jack” and Cha Thompson, Lubuw Falanruw, Mau Piailug, Tuione Pulotu, Pulefano Galeai and Malia Craver.
