The American Red Cross recently hosted its “Tea at Halekulani.” The fundraiser featured exotic teas from China, selected especially for the event, as well as savory delicacies and fine pastries created by Halekulani’s La Mer chef de cuisine, Yves Garnier. A special viewing of the Chanel spring—summer 2006 line was modeled for guests, followed by a silent auction and hat contest among attendees with categories for best ensemble, best hat, most creative and most elaborate hat.

All the money raised will stay in Hawaii to help the Red Cross continue to provide critical services to victims of local disasters throughout the state.
