The Filipino Centennial Commemorative Dinner
Del.icio.usThe opening events of the year-long Filipino Centennial celebration took place recently, including a commemorative dinner at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Coral Ballroom.
The event featured entertainment by Philippines pop star Rachel Alejandro, Broadway star Stephanie Reese and master pianist Joselito Pascual. Emme Tomimbang and Larry Ordonez emceed the program, which also included a video presentation and recognition of the 10 oldest living sakadas by the Filipino Association of University Women.
The Filipino community of Hawaii and the Filipino Centennial Celebration Commission, in partnership with First Hawaiian Bank, invite everyone to celebrate the rich culture of Filipinos in Hawaii over the past 100 years and beyond with other upcoming events scheduled throughout the year.
