Wayne Kirihara, senior vice president and director of marketing and public relations at Central Pacific Bank, was installed as chairman of the Board of the Honolulu Japanese Chamber of Commerce for 2005 to 2006, at the organization’s annual installation dinner and membership meeting July 9 at the Hilton Hawaiian Village.

This month marks the 105th year since the establishment of the Honolulu Japanese Chamber of Commerce (HJCC) and also of one of the founding members, Iida’s Store, an honoree at the event. The Chamber and Iida’s Store have stood side by side during the past century, each contributing in its own way to the strengthening of business, trade and cultural understanding between Japan and Hawaii.
