Despite the predictions of naysayers back in 2001, March 15 marked the fifth year of operations for the Honolulu Star-Bulletin since it was purchased by Canadian David Black. It also celebrates the winning team union of the Star-Bulletin and MidWeek as Oahu Publications Inc. Employees, customers and supporters gathered at Hiroshi’s Eurasian Tapas for food, drink and camaraderie. The event highlights the commitment of employees, local investors and customers to ensure that Honolulu remains a two-newspaper town.
