The Taste Of Kick Start

The annual benefit for the Kick Start Karate program was held recently at the beautiful beach front Bayer Estate in Niu Valley, owned by Susan and Richard Mirikatani.

The “Taste of Kick Start” event included musical entertainment by Kristian Lei and Bryson Souza, Na Wahine Ekolu and Jeff Williams’ Kanikapila Band, Wendell Kalihiwai and Hoku Keolanui.

The Kick Start Karate program, started by former HPD chief Lee Donohue, aids at-risk boys and girls. Donohue and daughter Leanne Williams, event organizer, said they were very grateful for everyone’s support of the successful event which raised $20,000 for the organization.
