The Nail Studio at Nordstrom
Need to take a break from shopping at the new Nordstrom? Well, you don’t have to leave. Treat yourself to a manicure, pedicure or both at the Nail Studio at Nordstrom. Located next to Chanel beauty, the Nail Studio uses products from the Lippman Collection, which Nordstrom carries exclusively. The Lippman Collection nail colors and names are inspired by music (founder and celebrity manicurist Deborah Lippman is also a jazz singer)—some of the fun colors include Lady Is A Tramp, Kiss From A Rose, Rehab, Dark Side Of The Moon and Pop Life. The Lippman Collection also includes hand warmers, spa booties, polish remover (called The Stripper) and foot scrubs. A SMART favorite is Lippman’s hand cream, called Rich Girl. It has SPF 25 and is amazingly rich, but it feels so light. The Studio Manicure is $30 and the Studio Pedicure is $50. If you’re in a hurry, an Express Pedicure is available at $30, or get a Polish Change for $15.

Its products have a simple and natural no-nonsense feel, like something you could purchase from an old-time pharmacy that always gets the job done. But Kiehl’s also has a line called Dermatologist Solutions that’s a bit more targeted and powerful, treating conditions like premature aging, acne and sensitivity. The Centella Skin-Calming Facial Cleanser is perfect for sensitive skin or for when you feel like you’ve been going overboard on products and want something soothing. It’s creamy and mild, and can be used on a wet or dry face. Your skin will feel soothed and calmed. Try it when you feel like your face needs a break.
