FM, in conjunction with DisFunkShion Magazine, Fashionista’s Market, SMART Magazine and the Life Foundation present: GIRLICIOUS! A WEEKEND WITH PROJECT RUNWAY’S BLAYNE WALSH Friday, Dec. 5 at the Candy Bar at Pearl Saturday, Dec. 6 at Skyline at Twist at the Hanohano Room
First up at the Candy Bar on Friday, Dec. 5, there will be the Girlicious!
Fashion Show Contest featuring 15 local designers in a Project Runway-style fashion competition. The winner will be picked by Blayne Walsh and will receive a VIP Booth at Skyline the following night right next to Blayne, plus be featured at an upcoming Fashionista Market event and given a booth space free of charge to sell items, a $100 Fashionista Market gift basket, $250 in boutique gift certificates, and beauty products from Benefit Cosmetics, DISfunkshion fashion editorial, two-night stay, and dinner for two at TWIST at Hanohano (five-course meal with wine pairing).
Blayne also will be designing live onstage at Pearl—this outfit will be auctioned off the following night at Skyline. One hundred percent of the proceeds will benefit the Life Foundation. Blayne also will host all night with Maleko from Star 101.9 and Radio Free Hawaii. On the second night at Skyline, there will be a Blayne Walsh Fashion Show featuring local models. Also at Skyline there will be a Runway Walk-off competition anyone can enter! So get ready to walk down that runway and strut your stuff!

Christine Gardner’s Flaunt Gets a New Location
One of Honolulu’s hottest makeup artists, Christine Gardner of Flaunt, has opened a new location at 850 Kawaiahao St. Gardner is known for her airbrush makeup and is in demand for everything from editorial photo shoots to weddings to fashion shows. The new Flaunt studio offers hair and makeup styling for special events, as well as airbrush workshops for professionals.
Christine will offer workshops for everyday women who want to learn tips and tricks for doing their own styling. She also does airbrush tanning and is developing a self-esteem workshop for young girls. You also can also buy Christine’s line of hair ornaments.
Workshops begin at the end of January.
