The Associated Chinese University Women (ACUW) celebrates its 76th anniversary with its annual fashion show fundraiser entitled Circle of Love on Saturday, May 26 at the Hilton Hawaiian Village (Tapa Ballroom).

This year’s show will feature the spring and summer collections at Calista by Cotton Cargo modeled by local beauty queens and celebrities. There also will be entertainment featuring music and dancing from the Honolulu Broadway Babies and Women of the World.

Calista, which is Greek for womanly beauty beyond the ordinary, offers a range of casual to formal attire for women at two Oahu stores (Kahala Mall and Ward Warehouse). In business for 28 years, Calista has become an island favorite for special occasion dresses, including proms and weddings. They offer a wide selection of colors, designs and styles ranging from extra small to 5X.

The ACUW fashion show begins with boutique vendors and a silent auction at 9 a.m. Lunch will be served at noon followed by the fashion show and entertainment.

Tickets cost $60 per seat or $600 per table of 10. All proceeds will go to ACUW’s scholarship and community service fund. Last year’s grants included college scholarships totaling $15,000, two History Day awards, four Science Fair awards, and donations to the Kakaako Homeless Shelter, Red Cross for Tsunami Relief and the Food Bank.

For more information or to purchase tickets, call Nora Chong at 988-6197.
