Jessica Miyata has been in the ladies apparel business for three decades. At one time, she owned three stores - Casa Bella, Mari-e and Cerie - in Waikiki. Then, in 2006, she was inspired by her young niece and nephew to start a children’s business and opened Angelo at the Sheraton Waikiki.

She also consolidated her three women’s retail stores into one, Mari-e, also located in the newly renovated Sheraton.

“I believe that children are all angels, and Angelo is Italian for angel,” says Miyata, who owns the stores with husband Michael. “I truly care for each product we carry at Angelo, and I travel to various shows looking for new products throughout the year.”

Angelo caters to infants and children up to age 12, offering clothing, accessories, toys, dolls, footwear, swimwear and diaper bags. Brands include Roxy, Quiksilver, O’Neill, small paul, Lilly, Juicy, Diesel, Kaloo, Gund, Crocs and Angelo’s own line of shirts and aloha wear.
