Last year, Evelyn Tashiro decided to pursue a career in the hair industry and earned a hair-design degree from Paul Brown Institute.
A mother of three boys, she has been a stay-at-home mom for the past five years, but with her youngest now 7 years old and a growing clientele meeting at her home, she decided to open eStyle boutique in Aiea Harbor Center (98-029 Hekaha St. Suite 13). The store offers hair products and services, as well as clothing and accessories at affordable prices.
On the racks are cute tops, dresses rompers, skirts and bottoms from brands such as Lani, Naked Zebra, Trinity, Audrey 3+1 and Lush.
“You can get a new haircut, color or highlights and shop for an outfit at the same time,” says Tashiro, a 1989 graduate of Nanakuli High School.
