Boo! It’s that time of year when supermarkets stock their shelves with extra loads of sweets and children can’t wait to dress up in costume.

Halloween is creeping up and if you don’t already know what you want to be, then take a trip to Price Busters where they have more than 1,000 costumes for all ages, including the family canine.

There’s also a wide assortment of accessories including wigs, swords with sound effects, wands, princess shoes and witches hats.

“For girls the princess theme is very hot, and we have the full range from Aurora to Tinker Bell,” says Beth Tom, owner of Price Busters. “For boys, they are thrilled to be the red or blue Power Ranger. Also, Hulk and Spider-Man are still very popular.”

Just in time for the holidays - Price Busters, known for its huge selection of inexpensive variety goods, has opened a seasonal superstore at Windward Mall. The store is scheduled to be open through New Year’s.

Also, a Price Busters Express store is expected to open at Ala Moana Center next month, and a permanent flagship store at Pearlridge Center in January 2006.

“We’re noticing that families are really enjoying decorating inside and outside this year with 4-foot inflatable pumpkins to attract the trick or treaters to visit for their favorite candy. We also offer a large selection of glow sticks (at only 99 cents) and bracelets to promote safe trick or treating.”

Price Busters is also at Dillingham Shopping Plaza in Kalihi, Mililani Town Center, Pearl Highlands Center, Kailua Marketplace, Koko Marina Center in Hawaii Kai, and Union Street Mall in Downtown. For more information, call 235-7548.
