Milk & Honey recently opened its doors in Chinatown at 1128 Smith St. (across from Little Village Noodle House) offering unique and well-made fashions that are reasonably priced.

“Our products are the current trends seen in mainstream fashion publications and in cosmopolitan cities such as Los Angeles and New York,” say owners Patricia Chang and Christine George (pictured below). “Our inventory is a mix of urban street wear, such as everyday attire, to higher-tiered designer lines.”

The store carries women’s clothes, handbags, jewelry and shoes. Some of the brands available are MM Couture, Dolce Vita, October Sky, Love Julian, Ya Los Angeles, Flying Tomato, Yetts, Let Them Eat Cake, House of Harlow, Low Luv, Swarovski Crystals, REPORT Footwear, Saludos Shoes, JJ Winters, Disney Couture and more.

Chang, who is from Los Angeles, and George, from Kalihi, met while working at a local law firm together. They discovered a shared interested in fashion and both dreamed of opening a boutique. Chang also has interned in the editorial departments at US Weekly, Modern Bride and Women’s Wear Daily. George, a 2002 graduate of Farrington High School, also works as a Team Lead at MYR Attorneys at Law.

“At Milk & Honey, you can find that every day look, from shorts to tops, pants to blouses, cute sandals to everyday wear like flats and sneakers,” they add. “Also, comfortable dresses to cocktail/evening wear dresses, even work-appropriate attire for the everyday business lady that all can be matched with our clutches and bags. We know what it’s like to have to dress office appropriate yet also want to look cute, so we also have a lot of office dresses for the working girls.”
