Pipe Dreams and 99 Boarding Co. have merged into one big store — Pipe Dreams Surf Co. — at the main entrance to Aloha Tower Marketplace, offering a wide range of surf and skate products for the whole family.

The store carries many of today’s top surf brands, including DC, Oakley, Quiksilver, Roxy, Da Kine, Paul Frank and O’Neill; and aloha wear by designers such as Tori Richard.

“We just want to have the best and most products our customers would want,” says owner Jason Chang, a 1993 graduate of McKinley High School. “We offer a wide variety of eyewear, including styles by Gucci, Dior, Armani, Armani Exchange, Arnette, Fox, Spy, Dragon, Maui Jim — and most of all we carry Oakley. Everything and anything that Oakley makes, more than likely we have it. People say that we’re the biggest Oakley retailer in the world. We also offer the most DC products this side of the West Coast.”

This month, Pipe Dreams Surf Co. will be co-sponsoring Oakley’s Big Day Out, a surf competition at Bowls. According to Chang, some of the current trends include plaid shorts for guys, big sunglasses, Nixon watches, and dresses for girls.

In addition to Aloha Tower Marketplace, Pipe Dreams Surf Co. is also located at Ala Moana Center, (street level, near Lady Footlocker). For more information, call 550-0275.
