The Salvation Army presents its annual Celebrity Fashion Show on Saturday, May 13 at the Sheraton Waikiki. Over the years, the show has become known as the prime “Thrift Store” Fashion Event perfect for discriminating “shopaholics” who simply can’t resist a bargain.

Immediately following the show, thousands of specially selected garments, jewelry, accessories, shoes, bags and other collectibles will be on sale at a fashion boutique to be set up at the event. “Television news media personalities and other local luminaries will model some of the unbelievably low-priced, signaturebrand evening gowns, business wear and casual attires during the fashion show and luncheon event,” says Daniel de Castro, public relations director for The Salvation Army Hawaiian and Pacific Islands Division. “The choice selections for sale were the result of many months of hard work by the members of the Salvation Army’s Honolulu Women’s Auxiliary who individually hand-picked the items.” Tickets to the fashion show luncheon cost $50 and entitles guests the privilege to shop at the fashion boutique. Seating is limited. For more information or to purchase a ticket, call Natalie at 440-1859.
