A.K.A.: Al Vegas

Age: 31

Hometown: Home of the brave - Waianae

Music Profession: I’m a very versatile person because I am from the Islands. So as far as the profession, I am a small, independent entertainment company called H-1 entertainment based out of home - myself being the CEO, producer, artist, song writer, promoter and creative director. Being in total control of all these positions allows me to create my work exactly the way I want it.

Gigs/Performances coming up: I’m currently on two gigs. One will be at the O Lounge at Flow Fridays every first Friday of the month. You also can catch me at Panama Hatties Aiea every Saturday for Wildin’ Out Saturdays. Then at Just One first Saturday in March.

Musical accomplishments: Well, taking it back a little I’ve performed in Brown Bags to Stardom. Then worked with Big Teeze on JB’s album. I’ve also had local air time on I-94 and 102.7 Da Bomb. I also have a successful music video that is on rotation on TRX TV now. Finally I’ve thrown the first-ever underground award show on the Islands that I created for struggling artists like myself. It was very successful, and we’re working on the second annual show for November. It’s called the Al Vegas music awards and it’s open to the public and includes all types of music. Hopefully it’ll become a household name-type of show.

What albums have you released? I have only released one underground album so far, called The Al Vegas Movement. It was released in February 2006. It sold over 1,000 copies on the island of Oahu. I am currently working on my second album also named Al Vegas Movement simply because I plan to release this one commercially, and you will be able to find it in store shelves and on Internet hosting sites.
