National Product

It is a birthday wish come true for National Product lead singer Danny Casler, who will celebrate his 28th birthday just two days before the band’s long-awaited concert for its Hawaii family, friends and fans.

Casler, who was raised in Kailua, is making the trip back home for the June 19 concert at Pipeline Cafe along with fellow Hawaii band mates Stan Moniz of Haleiwa and Rob Caveney of Kailua. Rounding out the band are Nate Elliot of Colorado and Californian Jeff Feuerkhaken.

“Right now we’re right on the ocean at Virginia Beach, but it’s nothing like being home,” says Casler. “We just love being home.”

The all-ages concert costs $23.40 for general admission and $50 for VIP. Doors open at 6 p.m. For tickets or more information, visit www.groovetickets.com or www.myspace.com/nationalproduct.

“Fans are going to be able to see a more-refined, crazier live show,” says Casler. “Every time we come home we want to do something special, so we’ve got a lot of plans for that, for sure.”

Following the release of its debut album, Luna, last year, National Product has kept up a crazy touring schedule. Named one of the “Top 100 Bands To Watch in 2008” in Alternative Press Magazine, National Product has been successfully pushing forward to make its mark. The band’s single, titled By All Means, has been receiving national recognition on the alternative radio scene.

“As it is right now, what we’re doing with Luna you’ll continue to hear,” says Casler. “We haven’t figured out what we’re doing with the new record, but it won’t stray far from what we are doing right now as National Product.”
