THE HOT NEW SPOT IN WAIKIKI - Pal Jimmy Buffett is slated to get local in a big way with the opening of his Jimmy Buffett’s At The Beachcomber at the Outrigger’s OHANA Beachcomber Hotel on Kalakaua Avenue. A part of the space the eatery will occupy is the showroom of our mutual late friend Don Ho, making it all the more special. Jimmy’s new restaurant will also be the largest in Waikiki. Jimmy’s favorite, Duke’s is about 12,000 square feet. This new venue will occupy more than 22,000 square feet! So all you Parrotheads, get set for the late ‘08 launch. There’s room enough for everyone, even if you’re all wearing fins…

Called the “The Pride and Joy of the Bolshoi,” she is survived by her husband Yuri Grigorovich, the Bolshoi’s long time artistic director…

She showcases many of her compositions made famous by other artists including (to the surprise of many in the audience) The Loco-Motion a No. 1 hit by Little Eva in 1960 and again in 1974 by Grand Funk Railroad. The following day we all head for a show at the Royal Lahaina Tennis Stadium. The morning after, while getting ready to depart from Maui, Carole is excited when she spots her first whale in waters off the Kapalua Airport…

The No. song in Honolulu: Opposites Attract by Paula Abdul with The Wild Pair...
