It’s the first event to celebrate KTUH’s 40th anniversary as an FM college station! “Friends of KTUH” DJ Night at Indigo from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. Sept. 25 with 18 of KTUH’s finest DJs in three rooms of music, changing styles every 40 minutes. This week in 1975: The Faces, featuring lead singer Rod Stewart, perform at HIC Arena. The group will disband later the same year when guitarist Ron Wood becomes a full-time member of the Rolling Stones on Dec. 9. Wood will later return to Hawaii in January 1998 to perform with the Stones at Aloha Stadium, while Stewart will headline several shows at the Blaisdell. But this landmark Hawaii concert not only introduces Stewart to Hawaii audiences, it also features guitar wizard Peter Frampton ... The No. 1 record in Hawaii is Rhinestone Cowboy by Glen Campbell ...
