This week in 1959: The 12th Show Of Stars welcomes the new decade with The Platters, Bobby Darin and Thurston Harris at the Civic Auditorium. I remember Bobby raving about a song he had just recorded, so I ask him to give us a preview and he includes it in his set! The Hawaii audience responds enthusiastically and later, when the record is released, so does the rest of the country. Mack the Knife would remain No. 1 on the Billboard charts for nine weeks!
