The sold-out Gridiron 2011 annual fundraising show, New & Unproven, a satire about Hawaii politics and news performed by media and publicity types, was fantabulous! A big hit of the night was Donalyn Dela Cruz reprising her role as U.S. Rep. Colleen Hanabusa in a number called In My District. Donalyn’s spot-on impersonation, including dancing and singing, brought the house down. After the show, Hanabusa herself came down to congratulate the cast ... It also turned out to be a happy reunion for Poi Planet’s Tracy Larrua, who sang, danced and acted, and Aulani Disney Resort choreographer Marian Morrison. Marian hired Tracy back in ‘84 for a variety club show in Australia booked by yours truly ...
