An unforgettable night spent at our recent Ozomatli concert at Aloha Tower Marketplace, local musicians and celebrities came to enjoy the up-tempo Latin beats and intoxicating lyrics. Those seen in the mix: Makana, cast and crew of Lost (including recent MidWeek cover-boy Jorge Garcia) and the gorgeous Miss Hawaii 2005 Malika Dudley. As musicians, they don’t get much better - what a party!!!

A Hollywood pal hosted a small dinner party recently at a formerly “in” Waikiki area restaurant. The evening ended with a sizeable bill that included two expensive bottles of the establishment’s wines, plus a $40 corkage fee for a bottle brought in by one of our host’s guests. When the latter charge was questioned ... no response. My pal won’t be returning, and I guess a lot of folks aren’t either - the once-booming restaurant was pretty empty that night ...
