This Friday night Augie T joins the ranks of Bill Cosby, Steve Martin and Eddie Murphy - the only comics to draw big crowds to the Blaisdell Arena. Augie’s “In The Round” Main Event promises to be a real crowd-pleaser.

This week in 1970, six musicians from San Francisco - Mike Carabello, David Brown, Greg Rolie, Jose Areas, Carlos Santana and Mike Shrieve - known as Santana make their first Hawaii appearance, selling out two concerts at the Waikiki Shell. The opening act is Elvin Bishop. Observing the action from backstage, it’s fun watching the crowd on their feet, dancing and having a great time.

The best-selling album in Hawaii is Santana by Santana. The No. 1 record in Hawaii is Spill The Wine by Eric Burdon and War.
