Branson, Mo., is some town! I guess you can call it the entertainment capital of the Midwest. It reminded me of Las Vegas before the corporate boom there. Great shows, priced inexpensively, and free lounge entertainment. Lots of name attractions - the biggest is Andy Williams, who appears year-round in his Moon River Theater. Unlike Vegas, the theaters are all free-standing, with state-of-the-art sound and lights. A prime example is Dick Clark‘s American Bandstand Theatre, where old friend Dave Sommerville, lead singer of The Diamonds, is performing. It was great seeing Dave, and running into pals Paul Revere and Bill Medley, who also are starring there ...
