HPU has hired Kailua’s Laura Dower to be an advice nurse to dorm residents on the Hawaii Loa campus. An assistant nursing professor at the college, Laura is experienced in gerontology - which doesn’t quite fit the student profile - but not to worry. She already advises patients for Kaiser and is a family nurse practitioner, too. “Most students just need some reassurance and someone to say you’re going to be OK,” she told the school newspaper
