Tori Richard was founded in 1956 by Mort Feldman, his soon-to-be-wife Janice Moody and pattern-maker Mitsue Aka, and is named after Mort's son Richard and Moody's daughter Victoria.

The company is known for its illustrious men's and women's lines, featuring clothes that are art-driven and often showing strong Asian influences. A local, family business, Tori Richard is now led by Mort's son Josh Feldman.

This week we celebrate MidWeek's 25th anniversary with a look back at fashions from the year it was born - 1984.
