Personal Touch Computers

With CompUSA closing down, many people are asking friends “where can I get my computer repaired?” Competition from the internet has result in most computer stores in Hawaii closing. The choices are getting slimmer, but we are proud to say that many people are referring their friends to Personal Touch Computers for their expert service and great prices on custom built computers and for being a Dell Partner with great prices on Laptops and computers. Of course you can go to the big box stores like Wal-Mart, Sam’s Club, and Costco. They do have sometimes low priced computers, but when comparing prices on the better models they are often more expensive than a local store. The only type of service that is offered is to return the computer for a refund.

What level of service can you get from buying your computer online? Most computer companies such as HP, Compaq outsource their technical support outside the country, mostly to India. Most of the time you get a person you cannot understand, reading a script from their computer in assisting you in the repair. They are not technicians and must follow the entire script to determine if your computer needs factory repair. While that is not as painful as getting teeth pulled at the dentist, most people would still rather avoid the experience. Service in any business, and I do mean GOOD service has never been cheap, but has always been worth the money. Buying a computer can be a complicated process that requires great service. The hardest problem for most people is that the information on the old computer is valuable, needed, and irreplaceable.

Where is the information on my old computer? And how do I get it to the new computer? And Make it work again. Wouldn’t be wonderful to turn on your new computer and have your email, documents, pictures, music, internet favorites already installed and ready to use? I have seen other computer companies copy your data from the old computer and put it on a DVD and say “Here’s your data, now you can install it”. Is that service? Now don’t get me wrong, good service costs money and not everyone is willing to (or can afford to) pay for it. Many people do not realize just how good the service they received was, until it’s no longer available. Losing CompUSA in Hawaii has caused worries to many of their customers. Where to bring the computers for repairs that are under warranty? Like I said, calling the manufacturer is not a pleasant experience. CompUSA extended warranties no longer have local location for repair. Our advice is to have Personal Touch Computers call up the tech support and get your computer repaired without all the hassles. Often a name brand computer or laptop will need to be sent back to the mainland for repair. You are risking losing your data.

They may replace your hard drive or erase it and reinstall the operating system and software. We can back up all your data (except for severely damaged hard drives); even if the computer does not turn on before it gets send back. Dependable Data Recovery Service is also available. Our staff can also assist you in how to prevent data loss, including what to back up, and where to back it up to. That would include data only hard drives, flash drives and online backup services. We can also assist you in the proper maintenance and power protections that will keep prevent hardware failures and tune-up the performance of your computer.
