Del.icio.usmated/live action sitcom in the U.S. Ironically, in its early days the show was thought of as not so family-friendly and a bit controversial, but boy, how times have changed.
“(Now) It’s a family show," says Wee. “It changed from most dangerous on television to an establishment, it’s smart above all. That’s why it’s stayed around longer than most.”
On a funny note, Wee reveals that after all this time the show’s writers have the hardest time not thinking up storylines for the episodes, but what to do for the show’s opening sequence (hard-core fans would know that it’s different for each episode) and what to have Bart write on the school chalkboard.

With this year being the 20th anniversary of this much-loved show, a new book called The Simpsons Handbook: Tips From the Pros is now on bookstore shelves across the country. The book reveals the secrets to drawing everyone and everything on the show. The book will also become the official handbook for new artists that come to work on The Simpsons.
During his visit here last week, Wee brought a copy of the book with him, because despite coming here for some time off, he joked that it ended up being a promotional tour for the book and the movie. Wee was a guest on the new show NightTime with Andy Bumatai, which premiered Aug. 6 at 9:35 p.m. on KFVE (K5). The show is broadcast from the Honolulu Design Center and will air Monday through Friday.
