In celebration of its newest resort, Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa, Disney announced community contributions to Hawaii during a preview event last month. With a focus on organizations that enrich the lives of children and support Hawaiian culture and conservation, Disney has donated more than $300,000 since the blessing of the property in 2008. Those organizations include Boys and Girls Club of Hawaii, Nanakuli and Waianae, the Ukulele Guild of Hawaii's "Ukes for Kids" program, Kaala Cultural Learning Center, Bishop Museum, Queen Liliuokalani Keiki Hula Competition and Awaiaulu's Hoolaupai Newspaper Resources Project.
