Folks poured into the Ewa Hongwanji June 16 to welcome in bon dance season. The festivities began at 7 p.m. and by 9 p.m., food prepared to feed a crowd of 1,000 had already sold out. The Kuhio Lions Club, presided over by Lion Rick Hoo, supplied the delicious meals.
