ProjectFocus Hawaii presented Farm to Table June 27, a special culinary event for the children of Down Syndrome Ohana of Hawaii. The event featured chefs Fred DeAngelo of Ola Restaurant and Eric Leterc of the Pacific Club, and special guest Lauren Potter, an actress with Down Syndrome who plays Becky on the Fox hit series Glee. Pictured with Lauren are Lisa Uesugi and Laurie Callies of ProjectFocus Hawaii, a nonprofit whose mission is to enrich the lives of children through the use of photography and to use this medium as a vehicle for enhancing selfesteem, self-awareness and self-reflection.
