KHON-2 and Pacific Wings Airlines presented the official Guaranteed American Idol Audition Contest with a special American Idol Audition Show at the Hawaii Theatre on Sept. 14. (Pictured at left) Al Waterson congratulates the winner, Andrew Sato, who received an all-expenses-paid trip for two to Seattle and a guaranteed audition in front of American Idol judges, bypassing traditional long lines. Seattle is the last audition city for season six of American Idol, which returns to KHON-2 in January. Andrew has been singing for about 10 years, and works as a sales rep for Gemini Tech. His favorite song is Lately.
