Roy and Kathy Sakuma. Roy, the legendary ukulele master, helped produce Manoa DNA’s debut CD which released in June 2006. Last year he helped produce the debut CD for Holunape which won the Na Hoku Hanohano award for Group of the Year. “Manoa DNA has a unique sound and great family talent,” says Roy. Also in the crowd on a recent Thursday night was Kimo Kahoano, who got up and sang a few songs with Manoa DNA. “I like the energy from the group,” he says. “They are very talented and they always make it fresh.”
