Camp Mokuleia has received additional support from First Hawaiian Bank Foundation in the form of a grant for $10,000.

The award was announced by the bank’s CEO, Don Horner, and will go toward the renovation for the camp’s lodge.

The North Shore retreat has been serving adults and youths with programs and camp experiences for 60 years and is in the middle of a major rehabilitation project. It has been owned since 2001 by the Episcopal Diocese of Honolulu, which has spent more than $1 million on the face lift so far. According to the camp’s board president, Bill Lucas, they hope to have the work finished in time to host a national conference of church camp directors in January.
