Amy To Sing At Liliuokalani Church Luau

Liliuokalani Protestant Church in Haleiwa will have its 36th annual luau Aug. 7 on the church grounds at 66-090 Kamehameha Hwy.

Dine-in is from 1 to 4 p.m., during which time Amy Hanaialii Gilliom, the Kamehameha Men’s Alumni Glee Club and Ekolu Makou will entertain. Take-out customers are welcome from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.


Tickets for dine-in ($17.50), take-out ($15) and children 10 and under ($10) are now on sale and can be reserved by calling 637-9364. Tickets will be available at the door on a limited basis.

The menu features an impressive list of island favorites - kalua pig, squid luau, chicken long rice, lomi lomi salmon, poke, opihi (limited quantities), raw crab, kulolo, haupia, cake, pineapple, sweet potato, poi, rice and punch.


With the exception of the cake, all the food will be prepared by the congregation and friends. The pigs will go into the imu in back of the church on Aug. 5.
