Arts And Food Festival Set For Sept. 22

The Mililani Arts and Food Festival plans something for everyone Sept. 22 at Mililani Golf Course.

Formerly known as “Night of the Arts,“the festival is presented by the Oahu Arts Center and will run from 5:30 to 10 p.m., offering performances by Henry Kapono, Paul Hanna and his band No Trends.The Halau Hula Keli`i Pu`uku O Ke Ao opens the show.A silent auction and several art activities are also in store for guests.


Beer and wine from Anheuser Busch, Kona Brewing Co. and Times Supermarkets will be served to complement food from a dozen restaurants,including Tiki’s Grill and Bar, Big City Diner, Chai’s Island Bistro, Poke Stop, Kona Brew Pub, Auntie Pasto’s,Mililani Golf Course, P.F. Chang’s, Haleiwa Eats, Tanioka’s Seafood and Roy’s at Ko Olina.Royal Kona coffee and teas are also served, as well as Meadow Gold ice cream.

Individual tickets are $40 adults, or $20 for ages 12 and younger. Proceeds support the non-profit arts center, which is dedicated to planning, designing and building a first-class performance center in Mililani Mauka for Central Oahu communities.

The OAC sponsors local artistic productions, such as the upcoming Wizard of Oz musical next month in collaboration with Applause! Performance Academy in Wahiawa.
