Below are some highlights of what’s happening in the Central Oahu community for April and May.

* The Blood Bank of Hawaii conducts donor drives on May 6 and 20 at the Mililani Town Center; May 9 at Waialua High School; May 15 at Wahiawa General Hospital; and May 19 at Waialua High School.Call 845-9966.

* The Blood Bank of Hawaii conducts donor drives in Waipahu on April 26 at Leeward Community College and May 8 at Kaiser Waipio Clinic. Call 845-9966.


* Wahiawa Library presents the puppet show Ku’ula, the God of Fishing at 10 a.m.April 26. Call 622-6345.

* Hawaii Okinawa Center conducts its Spring Craft Fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 29 at the center in Waipio. Early-bird shoppers’ donation is $5 (at 8:30 a.m.) Call 676-5400.

* The Wahiawa Nikkei Civic Association Genealogy Workshop from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. April 29 at Wahiawa Hongwanji Fujinkai room. Fee is $15; with optional manual, $25. Call 487-9630.

* The Young Lawyers division of the Hawaii State Bar Association conducts a free legal clinic from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 29 at the Waipahu Daiei store. Call 537-1868.

* The Blood Bank of Hawaii will hold blood drives from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. May 6, 20 and 29 at the Town Center of Mililani. To donate, you must be in good health, be 18 years of age or older, weigh 110 pounds or more and provide a valid photo ID. Call 845-9966.


* Leeward Community College’s Wai’anae art students will present “Artists of Wai’anae"art exhibition from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 6 at The Makaha Resort. Admission is free. Call Gladys de Barcza at 728-2673.

* Waialua Library presents Honolulu Theatre for Youth’s show, Tales of Old Hawaii, at 10:30 a.m. May 11. Call 637-8286.

* Various psychics will be on hand during the 2006 psychic fairs May 13 and 14 at the Town Center of Mililani. Readings are $12 for 10 minutes with a store receipt, $15 without a receipt; and $20 for 20 minutes with a store receipt, $25 without. Call 239-2574.
