Garden Offers Green Thumbs Tours, Classes

Wahiawa Botanical Garden has several classes and activities coming up this month and next.

The schedule includes free guided tours of the 27-acre garden at 9 a.m. Thursday and Dec. 6, where docents share the names, family, genus and species of the plants.Also free is a class in “Secrets of Plant Propagating” at 9 a.m. Nov. 16 and Dec. 14, and a session with the Plant Doctor at 9 a.m. Dec. 7.

A Holiday Angels craft class is planned for 1 to 3 p.m. Nov. 13. Fee is $10.

Located at 1396 California Ave., the garden is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily except for Christmas and New Years’ Day.
