Golf Fees Help North Shore

Two Turtle Bay golf tournaments raised a total of $100,000 this year for North Shore community organizations.

The Friends of Hawaii Charities recently distributed the money from the January Turtle Bay Championship and the February LPGA SBS Open to 21 community service organizations.


Donations from FHC - an agency dedicated to nonprofits serving Hawaii’s children, youth, women and needy” - went to the following:

Hawaii Fi-Do Service Dogs, Hawaii State Junior Golf Association, Hawaii State Women’s Golf Foundation, Kahuku 2000, Kahuku High and Intermediate School, Kahuku Hospital, Koolauloa Community Health and Wellness Center, Koolauloa Educational Alliance Corporation, Korean American Foundation Hawaii, Manu O Ke Kai Canoe Club, Na Kamalei Koolauloa Early Education Program, Na Pua Aloha, New Hope Christian Fellowship, The Private Sector Inc., St. Michael’s School, Sunset Beach Elementary School & PTCA, the United Korean Association of Hawaii, Victory Ohana Prison Fellowship Inc., Waialua Elementary School, Waialua High and Intermediate School Foundation and YMCA Camp H.R. Erdman.
