The Town Center of Mililani marks its 20th anniversary with a celebration from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday with Mililani High’s marching band, Wahiawa Hula Studio II and much more.

“It’s really great to be celebrating 20 years here. We’re very proud,” said Geoffrey Pang, who heads up the center’s marketing and promotions. “It’s a great community center with a lot of activities, shopping and good entertainment.

“There’s something for everyone,“he added.“You may even find an early Christmas present at the silent auction.” Up for bid during the anniversary party are merchant-donated items with proceeds benefiting the MHS marching band.

Also planned: free balloons, face painting, crafts and tricks from Bungie the Clown.A shred-it truck also will be available for unwanted documents (two boxes per person). Free cake and ice cream will be served at 1 p.m.

Among the town center’s key tenants are Wal-Mart, Longs Drugs, Star Market, City Mill and Consolidated Theaters, along with specialty shops, professional offices, retail businesses and restaurants.

The 568,000-square-foot regional mall is expected to become the fourth largest of its kind in the state as it expands with the community.
