HCAP Will Distribute Surplus Food Thursday

Honolulu Community Action Program has surplus government food for qualified low-income families, which will be given out Aug. 20 in Windward Oahu and on the North Shore.

Distribution will be from 8 a.m. to noon, or until supplies run out, at the following sites: Kahuku Hospital, BYU-Hawaii, Hauula Beach Park, Swanzy Beach Park, HCAP Kahaluu District Office, Kaneohe District Park, Kailua District Park and St. George Catholic Church in Waimanalo.

Eligible recipients must sign up and be certified at the site. Bring photo ID and proof of income. For details, call 239-5754.
