Wahiawa Community and Business Association’s nonprofit Malama O Wahiawa seeks residents and groups to take part in the Oct. 24 Make a Difference Day in Wahiawa.

Malama O Wahiawa chairman Jack Kampfer, meanwhile, is soliciting nominations for community service projects that will help to improve the town.

“This is an opportunity to give back, show that you care - anything to help others and the community,” he explained.

Last year, more than 900 hours of service work was completed by 218 volunteers from churches, schools, civic and community groups to benefit Wahiawa and its people.

For more information or to become a volunteer, call 621-5109, ext. 226.
