Memorial Lei Needed

The city is collecting fresh flower lei at area parks and fire stations for Memorial Day ceremonies.

In Central Oahu, the public can drop off their 20- to 24-inch, tied lei from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Waialua District Park and Hauula Community Park.All fire stations will accept the flowers between 6:30 a.m. and noon that day.


 

Boy Scouts will decorate graves of veterans at Punchbowl and at all state veterans cemeteries on the national holiday. The Mayor’s Memorial Day Ceremony is set for 8:30 a.m. May 31 at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (Punchbowl).
