Mililani’s Jennifer Sojot has won a lead role in Army Community Theatre’s upcoming production of Oliver.

Sojot plays the role of Nancy in the Broadway musical based on the classic Charles Dickens novel.

It’s the story of an orphan who is sold to an undertaker, joins a gang and is eventually taken under the wing of a kind old man, who turns out to be his own grandfather.

The show is produced by Vanita Rae Smith, who also produced the July 4 celebrity concert at Schofield Barracks.

The show runs from Sept. 4 to 20, playing at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays in Fort Shafter’s Richardson Theatre. Tickets cost $15 and $20 for adults and $12 and $15 for children. For reservations, call the ACT box office at 438-4480 or visit http://www.armytheatre.com.
